VICKY ARAICO
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
She graduated from Escuela Libre de Derecho Law School in 2001, in Mexico City. She then trained as an actor at Centro Universitario de Teatro, part of Mexico’s National University (UNAM), before completing an MA in Movement Studies at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, in London, UK, in 2009. Vicky has worked across theatre, film and television. In Theatre she has worked with international Bristol (UK) based Theatre Company: Theatre Ad Infinitum, and Site-specific London (UK) based Theatre Company Dreamthinkspeak. She has worked both as Movement Director and Movement Lecturer, both in Mexico and the UK. Vicky was a founding member of the Mexican College of Theater Producers.
MEET THE TEAM
Teresa Cedillo
She began her career in theatre in 1998. She graduated as an actress from CASAZUL and completed a diploma in Cultural Policies and Management. She has worked professionally as an actress and producer for over 20 years, as well as in the design and creation of costumes and props, as an assistant director and director. She currently produces for Arándano Producciones and El Ingenio del Caldero. She has collaborated on various projects for Offenbach Operetta Studio, Jugueteteatro and La Liga Teatro Elástico.
Sofia Guerrero
She has a degree in Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana. She studied the fundamentals of acting at CasAzul. She has collaborated as a production assistant in the play Los Perros, directed by Cristian Magaloni and produced by Hanna Berumen and Ignacio Riva Palacio. She was assistant director and performer in the play Hasta Encontrarte (Until I find You), directed by Nir Paldi and co-produced by Teatro UNAM, Ad Infinitum and El Ingenio del Caldero.
Sergio Cano
He studied composition with Juan Trigos and Víctor Rasgado at the Cardenal Miranda Institute, where he received an honorable mention, with Mario Lavista as a referee. In 2007 he was composer in residence at the Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in Montreal, Canada, as part of the FONCA Artistic Residence Program and the Quebec Council of Arts and Letters. He has taken part in programming various national and international festivals, including the 40th and 50th International Cervantino Festival, the Manuel Enríquez New Music Forum, and various INBA Contemporary Music Series. He has also worked as a composer and arranger for groups, choirs, and orchestras with music of various genres, as well as composition and sound design for theater.
Gretel Malagamba
She studied Fashion Design at Casa de Francia, creating original pieces, fusing folklore with urban elements. She has participated in many workshops, including those with María and Tolita Figueroa. She has created costumes for theater, film, commercials, and fashion magazines. She has created costumes for Milagros, El Efecto, El No Show México, among others. She has designed for brands in Miami such as Malaquita, and has created her own brand Gretel Crevette, as well as making custom-made clothing for different occasions.
